Morality is a very broad area that exists and in the Quran it is of supreme importance as Allah talks about it again and again. Morality in the Quran is mentioned in every form, be it of an individual nature or a public nature. The Holy Quran was sent down upon the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) and he has mentioned morality when he taught the teachings of the Quran.
The Quran is such a loving, beautiful book of the word of Allah that it is full of all the good there is in the world. It is full of pleasantries, advices of kindness, advice of doing good and forgiving and most of all advice of compassion. Allah has asked us in His own words to be good people. Good Muslims. Good human beings. And in doing so we are not only listening to Allah but we are also making our Hereafter better and better, so much so that it will take us to Jannah.
Much has been said about our destiny and the words Allah has mentioned in the Quran to explain it to us. Many of us think that since Allah has said that He alone is the one to determine our destiny and what life has to offer (which He indeed does) there is no point to do what Allah has asked us to do, nor to pray, nor to go on the straight path that Allah has decreed for us.
We as Muslims may love the Quran as the book that was brought down upon our last Prophet (PBUH) and which is the word of Allah. We may even consider it one of the greatest miracles of the world. But do we live the Quran rather than just ‘love’ it?
Ramadan is quickly approaching and like always all of us plan to read the Quran diligently every single day of the month in order to receive maximum benefits that the Holy month has to offer to us. And so why mustn’t we take full advantage of the opportunity being offered to us to gain maximum rewards? Reading the Quran in the month of Ramadan gives tremendous benefits because the month is one in which the shaitaan is caged and Allah promises to forgive our sins if only we repent.
Lots of Muslims, while they are excellent in keeping up with their daily prayers 5 times a day and other fundamentals of Islam, somehow quite lack the enthusiasm to read the Quran daily as well. This should be quite a concern for them especially when they give invalid excuses for not being able to read the Quran regularly.
The protection of the Quran is important because it is the word of Allah and the proof for humanity that Islam is the complete religion, Islam is Allah’s religion. Allah has promised to take care of His word so that the people of the faith of Islam have complete confidence and trust in Him.
One of the first ayahs of the Holy Quran is that mentioned above of asking Allah to guide us to the straight path. The immediately next verse that follows is that of guiding us to that path that Allah has prescribed for us and saving us from going astray and in turn getting His anger. Such is the importance of following the straight way in the Quran.
The closeness to Allah in the Quran has been stressed a number of times and has made to mean a number of different things with the same essence that Allah is with you at ALL times. However, there are many different interpretations of the term closeness to Allah. A very beautiful ayah of the Quran explains the nearness that exists between a human and Allah.
The Quran is that miracle of Allah in which He has asked mankind to remember Him as one of the strongest ways to attain Jannah. For through the remembrance of Allah does a Muslim gain complete piety and righteousness.
