“And we have certainly made the Quran easy for remembrance. So is there any who will remember? (54:17)

How beautiful would it be if, at any stage of your life, you would just remember a particular ayah of the Quran that would exactly match your situation and you would follow it, with a smile on your face knowing that the words of Allah are that which prompted you to take that step? How convenient would it be that you would never get confused what decision to take in your life if you remembered how Allah had asked you to decide, with His words? And the actions of His Prophet (PBUH)? It would be easy, convenient and blessed!
The person who memorizes the Quran gets a vast outlook about what Allah wishes our lives to be led as. It reveals to the muslim that this world is fleeting and the actual destination that we should strive for is Paradise which will be there forever! How comforting is it to have that feeling in your heart for as long as you live? It is possible only by memorizing the words of Allah and knowing the essence of them in your heart.
The Prophet (PBUH) said: “The likeness of the one who reads Quran and memorizes it is that he is with the righteous honourable scribes. The likeness of the one who reads it and tries hard to memorize it even though it is difficult for him, he will have two rewards.” The person who recites and memorizes the Quran would be given a crown of honour and an apparel of honour on the Day of Judgement.
