Success is Calling Five Times
Islam is based on five pillars in which the second one is Salah (namaz). Allah has commended us to perform Salah five times in a day. Salah is not only a worship of Allah but also benefits us physically and mentally. Allah uses the word Salah eighty two times in His book “Quran” it actually shows the importance of Salah. Allah does not need our worship because there are already enough angels worshiping Allah even then if Allah has ordered us it means there are some hidden benefits which are for ourselves and not for Him. Allah is the Creator of this world He knows very well that what is better for mankind so if someone is not following Allah’s commands then he/she will definitely does his/her own loss.
Salah Protects against Evil and Provides Peace
If we are offering Salah five times in a day routinely with punctuality it keeps us save from evil acts, cruelty and sin. Those who make a habit of Salah they would never go in wrong direction and God always protects them from either danger or harm.
In Quran Surah Al-Ankabut it is mentioned that:
"Observe the Salat (Contact Prayers) for it prohibits evil and vice." [29:45]
Allah also says in Quran about the protective effect of Salah on mankind:
"When you are with them, and lead the Salat (Contact Prayer) for them, let a group of them stand with you and let them hold their weapons, and let them stand behind you as you prostrate. Then, let the other group that has not prayed take their turn praying with you, while the others stand guard and hold their weapons." [4:102]
Success is calling you Five Times in a Day
Allah says every man can get success by following God’s commands because the reason behind God’s will is the success of man in this world and hereafter. Salah is also one of the commands of God and it reminds us five times in a day about our success and invites us towards prosperity.
Allah says in Quran about believers that:
“Successful indeed are the believers; who are reverent during their Salat (Contact Prayers)." [23:2]
He also says:
"Surely, those who recite the book of God, observe the Contact Prayers and are charitable both discreetly and openly can hope for an investment that never loses. He will recompense them generously and will multiply His blessings upon them. He is Forgiving, Appreciative." [35:29-30]
Salah purifies the Soul and Body
Salah provides peace of mind and prevents us from worries and anxiety. We can get freedom from evil acts and in this way it purifies our soul. Hazrat Mohammad (PBUH) explained very well in one of his hadiths with an example that how Allah wipes away sins from our soul:
“If a person had a stream outside his door and he bathed in it five times a day, do you think he would have any filth left on him?” The people said, “No filth would remain on him whatsoever.” The Prophet (peace be upon him) then said,“That is like the five daily prayers: Allah wipes away the sins by them.” [Al Bukhari].
Allah says in Quran that cleanliness of dress and cleanliness of body is mandatory for Salah so that it not only purifies our soul from sins but also our body from dirt:
“O children of Adam, you shall be clean and dress nicely when you go to the masjid. And eat and drink moderately; Surely, He does not love the gluttons.” [7:31]
Allah also says:
“O you who believe, when you observe the Contact Prayers (salat), you shall: (1) wash your faces, (2) wash your arms to the elbows, (3) wipe your heads, and (4) wash your feet to the ankles. If you were unclean due to sexual orgasm, you shall bathe. If you are ill, or traveling, or had any digestive excretion (urinary, fecal, or gas), or had (sexual) contact with the women, and you cannot find water, you shall observe the dry ablution (Tayammum) by touching clean dry soil, then rubbing your faces and hands. GOD does not wish to make the religion difficult for you; He wishes to cleanse you and to perfect His blessing upon you, that you may be appreciative.” [5:6]
Salah is the Only Way to Communicate with Allah
Salah reminds us the presence of Allah five times in a day, it is the way by which we can communicate with God, shares our problem and beg for their solutions, apologizes for mistakes, and thanks for His blessings. Those who do not perform Salah are vanished in the darkness of this world and somewhat forget about God and His blessings.
Allah is stated in Quran:
“The devil wants to provoke animosity and hatred among you through intoxicants and gambling, and to distract you from remembering Allah, and from observing the Contact Prayers (salat). Will you then refrain?” [5:91]
He also mentions in one of His verses:
“Verily, I am Allah! There is none worthy of worship but I, so worship Me and offer prayer perfectly for My remembrance.” [Quran, Taha, 13-14]
