Life is a Test
What is the purpose of life? Is happiness, success, money, fame are the only eventual goals which we want to achieve? Are we sure about our future planning that they would be fulfilled in a way we have exactly planned? Has God created us just to achieve our desires or there are some other reason behind the creation of this world? Purpose of life is clearly mentioned in Quran then now it is upon us that whether we want to accomplish the purpose or we want to waste our lives in chasing our desires.
Is the God Created this world aimlessly?
Everything has a purpose without reason there is nothing exist in this world without the purpose then how it is possible that the world is created by God aimlessly? Until we do not aware about the purpose of our existence we are wasting our time in this world and will ruin the life of hereafter as well.
Allah says in Quran:
“And to Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth, and Allah is over all things competent. Indeed, in the creation of the heavens and the earth and the alternation of the night and the day are signs for those of understanding. Who remember Allah while standing or sitting or [lying] on their sides and give thought to the creation of the heavens and the earth, [saying], “Our Lord, You did not create this aimlessly; exalted are You [above such a thing]; then protect us from the punishment of the Fire..” [Quran 3: 189-191]
Above verse mentions that if we want to save ourselves from the punishment of fire then it is required to fulfill the purpose of life.
Purpose of Life
The aim of life is to spend each and every moment according to Allah’s guidance which is mentioned in Quran. Now, a question would arise that if it is our life then why we suppress our desires and do whatever Allah wants. Are we smart enough to know that what is better for us and our desires definitely benefits us in future? If yes then why people are so disturb and damage? Why they are so unsatisfied even after they get what they want? It is a fact that Creator of anything has complete knowledge about the thing which he creates likewise Allah knows better about our benefits, peace, and happiness. Knowledgeable people always follow Allah’s commands because they are pretty sure that Allah’s will is the only way by which they can make their life successful.
Allah says in Quran:
“Did you think that We had created you in play (without any purpose) and that you would not be brought back to Us?” [Quran 23:115]
Allah guides mankind in Quran as:
“I have not created men except that they should serve Me” [Quran, 51:56]
Life is a Test that we all have to pass if we want a Better Life Hereafter
Our life in this world is a test, every action belongs to us whether it is good or bad it is recorded. The time of test starts when we are able to understand and continue until we die. Allah announces the result in the Day of Judgment and gives reward to those who have passed life according to Allah’s will.
Allah says in Quran:
“Our life is a test and we’ll be judged for our actions in the hereafter. God says in the Quran, “Blessed be He in Whose hands is Dominion; and He over all things hath Power; He Who created Death and Life, that He may try which of you is best in deed: and He is the Exalted in Might, Oft-Forgiving.” [67:1-2].
Allah advices mankind in Quran again and again because once the time has passed it never returns back then we have nothing left except regret, grief, punishments in the life hereafter.
Allah also says:
“Know that the life of this world is but amusement and diversion and adornment and boasting to one another and competition in increase of wealth and children – like the example of a rain whose [resulting] plant growth pleases the tillers; then it dries and you see it turned yellow; then it becomes [scattered] debris. And in the Hereafter is severe punishment and forgiveness from Allah and approval. And what is the worldly life except the enjoyment of delusion.” [Quran 57:20]
Thus, all of the verses and hadiths show that life is a journey which would end one day and then we all would be questioned that how we have passed our journey and as per to those deeds what we are going to get in our destination. Whatsoever people are advised to follow in Islam, there are multiple benefits behind each advise for the people of knowledge.
